The nineteenth edition of the International Conference on Optics of Excitons in Confined Systems (OECS 19) is set to be held in Warsaw, Poland, from 14th to 18th July 2025. OECS, a conference convened every two years, serves as a platform for researchers engaged in the study of optical excitations in semiconductors, focusing particularly on excitons, polaritons, and collective excitations across various materials and photonic nanostructures. We extend our invitation for you to join us in Warsaw to explore the cutting-edge developments in this field of research.
The OECS19 continues the distinguished series of biennial events on Optics of Excitons in Confined Systems, which began in 1987 in Rome, Italy. Over the years, the conference has been hosted in various notable locations, including Giardini Naxos (Italy, 1991), Montpellier (France, 1993 and 2001), Cortona (Italy, 1995), Göttingen (Germany, 1997), Ascona (Switzerland, 1999), Lecce (Italy, 2003), Southampton (UK, 2005), Palermo (Sicily, Italy, 2007), Madrid (Spain, 2009), Paris (France, 2011), Rome (Italy, 2013), Jerusalem (Israel, 2015), Bath (UK, 2017), St. Petersburg (Russia, 2019), Dortmund (Germany, online, 2021), and Lecce (Italy, 2023).
